A New Chapter: A.L.T. Origens (2025)
In March 2025, Thiago returned to Brazil to join forces with fellow coffee visionaries. He partnered with André Chavari, owner of Café Convicto, whose 13+ years of expertise spans the entire coffee production chain, and reunited with his longtime friend Logan Ramos—a friendship dating back to 2000. Logan, an agronomist (graduated in 2017), has worked with agricultural supplies since 2014, specialising in coffee farm management and currently serving producers across Southern Minas Gerais while building trusted relationships with coffee growers. Together, they founded A.L.T. Origens, a brand that embodies their shared journey. The name A.L.T. represents the founders' initials (André, Logan, and Thiago) while also nodding to altitude—a tribute to the mountain-filled landscapes of their origins and the high-altitude coffee farms they work with. "Origens" (Origins) reflects their mission: to honor the roots of both the product and its producers, valuing every step of the process.
The brand's visual identity captures this essence: three mountains symbolize the founders' connection to the land and the coffee's unique elevation—each peak representing one of them, united by a shared purpose. Coffee tree branches celebrate the cycle of life and the growers' dedication, while the dark green palette evokes the depth of the forest, the maturity of coffee, and sustainability, with organic shapes highlighting the authenticity of its origins. More than a brand, A.L.T. Origens is a manifesto—for coffee that carries a story, for producers who devote their lives to it, and for consumers who seek quality with meaning.

The beginning:
Founded by Thiago Dias, a mineiro at heart, Why So Coffee was born from a passion for culture, flavour, and the stories woven around coffee. Raised amidst the aromas of freshly brewed coffee, Thiago inherited a deep love for the drink, while his travels abroad deepened his appreciation for diverse brewing traditions and tastes. The brand’s name emerged during a special moment in December 2023, while celebrating Christmas in Wales. As Thiago—a true coffee enthusiast—prepared coffee for friends, a lighthearted conversation about regional dialects sparked the classic Mineiro expression “Uai Sô”. This playful twist on language inspired the name Why So Coffee, launched in January 2024 as a bridge between his Brazilian roots and a global coffee vision.
With the birth of his first daughter and the project still in its early stages, Thiago chose to pause the venture. A trip back to Brazil in March 2025 marked a turning point: reconnecting with partners like André Chavari, owner of Café Convicto and a seasoned coffee expert with over 13 years of experience across the entire coffee production chain, as well as his childhood friend Logan Ramos, an agronomist specialising in coffee farming. These key encounters reinforced his ambitions and led to the founding of A.L.T Origens, transforming his journey while keeping coffee at its core.
